Meet Our Board!
Chairman - Brad Headley

Brad grew up outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, graduating from Cumberland Valley High School
in 2007. He is currently a junior at the University of Delaware and pursuing degrees in Public Law
and Finance. Brad started to take an interest in politics during the 2004 election and volunteered
for President Bush's campaign. His senior year, he was elected president of his high school
Republican group and worked for the campaigns of Rick Santorum and Lynn Swann. Brad
immediately became active in Delaware politics when he arrived to the University of Delaware. In
the fall of 2008, he interned for the Delaware Republican Party and on March 21, 2009, was elected
chairman of the DFCR. He previously had served as secretary and then outreach director.

Executive Director - Rick Walsh

Rick is a native Delawarean who graduated from the Charter School of Wilmington in 2006. He is a
Mechanical Engineering Major and is also pursuing an MBA through UD's 4+1 program. Rick has
been involved in politics as far back as the 2000 election when he worked on his uncle's State
Senate primary bid. In 2004, Rick was an important member of Charter's GOP club, and was active
in working with party headquarters. He was elected president of the club the following year. Since
arriving at UD, Rick has been a vocal conservative and has been active with the College Republicans
on campus, taking part in many activities such as the annual College Republicans vs College
Democrats debate. Rick was appointed as Executive Director of the DFCR in March 2009.

Treasurer - Rachel Giattino

Rachel was born in Tampa, Florida and moved to Wilmington, Delaware in 1992. In 2008 she
graduated from the Charter School of Wilmington and is pursuing degrees in International
Relations and Economics at the University of Delaware. Rachel first became involved in politics
during her freshman year of high school when she joined her high school's Republican Club. That
year she helped on several campaigns including President George W. Bush's reelection campaign.
Senior year she served as the club's president. Rachel continued her involvement in the
conservative movement at UD by participating in the College Republicans. She was elected
treasurer of the DFCR in March 2009.

Co-Chairman - Garrett Jenkins

Garrett K Jenkins grew up in Milford, DE, graduating Milford High School as valedictorian of his
class. Garrett is a sophomore at the University of Delaware and is currently studying mechanical
engineering. He is very passionate about the Republican Party and always willing to discuss his own
views as well as listen to others. He attended CPAC 2009 and helped considerably with the State
Rep and State Senate special elections for Ruth Briggs King and Joe Booth.

principles of working hard and being rewarded for it. I believe that the government's
job is most importantly to protect the people from foreign threats and not to regulate
the lives of its citizens."
Secretary - Brad Gunther

Brad is currently a freshman at the University of Delaware studying Political Science with a minor
in Business Administration and Economics. A graduate of Downington East High School located in
Downington, PA, Brad became active in politics at a young age. He restarted his high school
Republican club, integrating the group with the National Teenage Republicans. The Teenage
Republican Club at Brad’s high school was by far one of the most active groups on campus. Brad has
contributed greatly to campaigns both in Pennsylvania and in Delaware on the local, state, and
national levels. He also enjoys hanging out with friends and playing with the UD Marching Band.
